Server to PDU power cord
The jumper is chosen from two facts: the inlet on the PSU, and the outlet set on the PDU. IEC C13/C14 and C19/C20 are the two pairs used in most racks.
| PSU inlet C14 | Need a PDU C13 outlet and a C13–C14 jumper |
| PSU inlet C20 | Need a PDU C19 outlet and a C19–C20 jumper |
| C14 inlet + C19-only PDU | C13–C20 jumper; still 10 A on the C13/C14 side |
Which end goes where
C13 into the server C14 inlet. C14 into a PDU C13 outlet. C19 into a server C20 inlet. C20 into a PDU C19 outlet.
Worked pair: Dell PowerEdge R650 + APC AP8941. C13 into the R650. C14 into one C13 outlet. The C19 outlets on that PDU are not for this PSU.
Length
Vendor default jumpers are often 0.6 m, 2 m or about 2 m (HPE A0K02A is 6 ft). A Zero-U PDU in a shallow rack needs a much shorter cord so the loop does not fight the rails.
